• Statement of Purpose (Terms of Reference):

  The Commission promotes research and development in

  1. Measurements and standards in time and frequency, including infrared and optical frequencies;
  2. Measurmeents in the time domain;
  3. Measurements in the frequency domain;
  4. Measurements in telecommunications;
  5. Measurements using laswers;
  6. Quantum metrology and electrical methods in fundamental constants;
  7. Measurements and standards from dc to optical frequencies.

• Nominations for (full and associate) membership in Commission A should be submitted on line with a member sponsor support (must be a US Citizen/Premanent Resident); Nomination Form
